Ripping CD's to MP3 Format

Had a bit of a Drrrr moment today. It is a long time since I ripped any CD's and I could not remember what software I last used fo this task. A quick Google reminded my that you can Rip a CD to MP3 with Windows Media Player. I had already tried WMP but the files came off as .wma format.  The article I found in PC Advisor magazine  reminded me that you need to change the settings in the "Rip Settings" drop-down menu to Format> MP3. Simple when you know how.
